Quality Control Chemist

WAs a member of the Quality Control & Methods Development Department, the Quality Control Chemist is responsible for the analysis of raw materials, intermediates, finished products and stability samples. The successful candidate will operate analytical instruments such as FTIR, HPLC, GC, and Karl Fischer, etc.  Other duties include writing and reviewing SOPs, Protocols, Reports and other QC related documentation.

Qualified candidates will have a B.Sc. in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or equivalent, with working experience in performing wet chemistry tests and operating analytical instruments. A familiarity with CGMP guidelines and experience in a regulated pharmaceutical environment is desired.  The preferred candidate will be a team player with excellent organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.  Shift work will be required for this position.

This position reports to QC Stability & Standards Supervisor.

This is a permanent position.

Analytical Lab Manager/Senior Scientist

We are looking for an Analytical Lab Manager/Senior Scientist with primary responsibility for the leadership and management of the Analytical group in R&D department.  Ensures that tasks are smoothly and safely carried out in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.   

Qualified candidate will possess a Ph.D. or equivalent in analytical chemistry or a related field.  Have an extensive knowledge and experience with method development and analytical instruments such as LC-MS, Gas, HPLC et al.  Experience with cGMP guidelines and with USP methods.  Several years’ experience in a pharmaceutical environment or related area.  A proficiency in computer software applications.  Excellent communication skills both oral and written.  Must have good mathematical and reasoning skills to solve problems.  Knowledge of statistics is an asset.  Supervisory experience required.
